The Swedish Discrimination Act (2008:567) states that employers must engage in goal-directed work within the framework of their operations to promote equal rights and opportunities in working life without regard to gender. Uppsala University follows this regulation and has a well-developed organization for systematic equality work pursued by disciplinary domains, faculties, departments and other entities. In accordance with UU’s strategy, we consider gender equality to be a quality issue for our organization. We strive to have a perfect gender balance at all levels of our organization.
