Vision and objective

Our major aim is to play a world-leading role in using genomic methods to integrate traditionally separated fields of biology and thereby achieve new synergetic and innovative research. Understanding the steps from genes to adaptive phenotypes requires a myriad of technical and theoretical skills, which are impossible to cover within individual research groups. By facilitating the sharing of theoretical, technical and methodological developments Uppsala Centre of Evolution and Genomics represent a highly intellectually stimulating and successful scientific environment.
