We are interested in how genetic variation is tied to population persistence. The research is focused on genetic variation in natural populations of endangered species. We study a range of animals but we currently focus on various species of birds, mammals, amphibians and fish. We use a wide array of research techniques, including field studies, interspecific comparisons, molecular genetics and genomics.
